Josh Morris is a Baltimore based jazz and contemporary trumpet player, composer and Edwards endorsed artist.
currently studying under Grammy-winner Sean Jones at the Peabody Institute. He
coleads The Ambient Project, a duo exploring contemporary jazz, textural
improvisation, and freeform sonic landscapes. His composition Beltway was a 2024
WAMMIE Awards finalist for Jazz Song of the Year. His most recent album Duets Vol. 1
received a silver medal from the International Trumpet Guild recording awards. He was a member of the
University of North Texas Two O’Clock Lab Band as a freshman. In 2022, he performed
with the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra in Joe Wilder: The Pretty Sound.
Other performance credits include JEN, the MidAtlantic Jazz Festival, Keystone Korner,
and collaborations with Miguel Zenón, Randy Brecker, George Cables, and Jon Faddis.
